Just been for a scan today thought i was 6 weeks, they confirmed viable pregnancy but could just see the gestational sac, nothing else yet. I thought I might of seen more to be reassured (wasn’t very reassuring when you’ve had losses)

Anyone else just see the sac and then by the next scan it had developed into an embryo?

What could you see at your scans less that 6 weeks? He said 5 weeks/ 5 days give or take a few days.

I went at what I thought was 6w5 but turned out to be 5w4. She could only see the gestational sac at first and told me I had to come back in two weeks. Then she looked at my ovaries etc.
Finally she went back and found the yolk sac and heartbeat.
So it may have just been hiding like my little one!

that’s good! So yours was all there really at 5 weeks, 4 days.

They checked my ovaries and couldn’t see anything. They could just see the sac. I’m so scared there won’t be anything else. Everyone else seems to be further when they’ve been for an early scan.

I went in for an early scan due to my last pregnancy being ectopic. I was 6w1d and baby measured 5w5d. We were able to see the heartbeat at 109 and they said the heartbeat probably started that day or the day before

I went in for a scan at 6 weeks 1 day but measured at 5 weeks 4 days. A yolk sac and gestational sac were found but no embryo, fetal pole, or heartbeat. They told me it could be too soon and I go back on Tuesday so fingers crossed little babe is growing and strong.

I went in at 5 weeks and the lady offered an abdominal ultrasound because she wanted the practice, but warned we probably wouldn’t be able to see much. We saw the gestational sack, measured 5w2d, and I’ll be going back in 2 weeks for a repeat ultrasound
